Smirnoff Package Redesign

I undertook the redesign of the packaging for Smirnoff’s Ice Pink six-pack, including the labels for individual bottles. The objective was to tailor the visual elements to resonate with an older female demographic within the legal drinking age. The chosen color palette draws inspiration from the warm hues of a summer sunset, evoking the refreshing and vibrant qualities associated with pink lemonade. Employing a pop art illustration style, I crafted a cohesive narrative through the deliberate placement and folding of the lady’s visage across the packaging. This strategic design approach seeks to enhance the overall aesthetic appeal and brand positioning within the specified target audience.

Little Finch Cafe

I collaborated on a project for a forthcoming cafe opening in the Denver area, aiming to promote the concept of a European-style, all-day cafe experience to an American audience. Within this scope, I designed two distinctive tote bags for the client. One features the phrase “Cafe All Day,” encapsulating the overarching theme, while the other creatively integrates icons representing the diverse range of beverages offered by the cafe into the Denver skyline. This nuanced design strategy is intended to resonate with the target demographic, effectively conveying the cafe’s unique identity and offerings to the local market in a visually compelling manner.

Kitchen Timer Instructions

I authored a comprehensive instruction manual for the assembly of a twenty-piece kitchen timer, structuring the guidance into eight clear and concise steps. Emphasizing efficiency and clarity, I successfully condensed all instructions and essential key information onto a single page, optimizing for a folded format. To validate the effectiveness of the instructions, I engaged a classmate to execute the assembly process, ensuring that the provided guidance facilitated a successful and accurate completion of the task. This meticulous approach aligns with professional standards in technical communication, prioritizing clarity and usability in instructional documentation.

Arthropod Icons

I undertook the design of a collection comprising twenty-five distinctive icons, each meticulously crafted to represent various arthropods indigenous to the state of Colorado. Employing a consistent and cohesive visual style, these icons are not only visually engaging but also individually tailored to be distinct and easily recognizable, effectively capturing the unique characteristics of each arthropod species. The meticulous attention to detail ensures that the icons serve as both aesthetically pleasing and informative representations of the diverse arthropod fauna found within the Colorado region. This comprehensive and visually cohesive series contributes to a nuanced and professional presentation, emphasizing accuracy and clarity in the portrayal of these indigenous species.
